Our Mission
SunGuard was founded through firsthand experiences in both community outreach and dermatology. While volunteering with organizations serving individuals experiencing housing insecurity, we saw the tangible impact of prolonged sun exposure without access to basic protection.

At the same time, working in dermatology highlighted the long-term consequences of these gaps in prevention.
​
SunGuard was created to bridge this gap—by providing sunscreen directly to those who need it most and promoting accessible, preventative skin health.

Our Initiatives
Sunscreen
We distribute free sunscreen to individuals in need, ensuring optimal protection against harmful UV rays, promoting skin health and preventing sun damage.
Clothing
Our sun-safe clothing initiative offers protective apparel designed to shield individuals from UV exposure, making sun safety accessible and practical for everyone we serve.
Education
We conduct educational workshops on sun safety, raising awareness about the importance of UV protection and providing essential knowledge for healthier lifestyle choices.
Partnerships
We collaborate with other organizations to extend our reach and effectiveness, combining resources to provide the best sun protection solutions for underserved communities.
Volunteering
Our volunteers play a crucial role in our mission, assisting with outreach, distribution, and educational efforts to effectively cater to individuals in need.
Community
